Welcome to Parkside Elementary! Home of the Mustangs!
Parkside Safety Patrol consists of 5th grade students interested in assisting with our car riders in the morning. Safety Patrol helps the staff with arrival procedures so we can better ensure that our students are safely guided into school in an efficient manner. The group of 5th grade students who help serve will change approximately every six weeks.
Safety Patrol Team criteria:
The expected time to report to duty will be at 7:10 a.m. The shift ends at 7:30 a.m. when the bell rings.
Safety Patrol members will report to the office at 7:10 to get a safety vest before going to the car line duty. Their classroom teacher knows when they are on Safety Patrol, and they will not be counted tardy.
All Safety Patrol members will be expected to be on time and in attendance every day during the period assigned to them, with the exception of illness, doctor’s appointments, etc.
All Safety Patrol members will be expected to be courteous and committed to the job during the weeks that they serve.
Parkside has incredible leaders, and we cannot wait to work with the students who volunteer to serve others in this way. There will be application process at the beginning of the school year. Students will be notified of their assigned six weeks once all applications have been received.
