SMART Tag Registration
This year, all bus riders will be issued a SMART card to ride the bus. Parents and guardians can go to the SMART Tag Parent Portal and select Register to begin the registration process. Once registered, parents and guardians can sign up for SMART Alerts to receive a text message notification 10 to 15 minutes before the bus arrives at their child’s bus stop. While on the bus, the Parent Portal also provides a live map to see bus’ location in near real time. For more information on SMART Tag, please visit the LISD Transportation page.
To complete the registration, you will need the following:
The campus name of your child
Your child’s student ID number
Your child’s date of birth
Replacement SmartTags can be requested here.

Volunteer Information:
ALL volunteers MUST register with LISD's volunteering system prior to volunteering on campus. For the safety of our students, we will not allow anyone to volunteer at Parkside if they are not an approved volunteer.
Volunteer opportunities are everywhere! Take a moment to complete your volunteer application for 2024-25 if you have not had the chance to do so already:
New Volunteer to LISD – Begin your registration here
Current or Returning Volunteers – Review and update your account details here.
Note: Volunteer registrations are active for an entire calendar year (12 months). You will receive a notice one month prior to expiration.
Volunteer accounts are active for an entire year (12 months) from the date of approval. Even if you have volunteered during a previous school year, you MUST renew your account every year to be able to volunteer for the current school year. A notification will be sent to the approved volunteer one month prior to expiration with instructions on renewing or removing their volunteer account for the upcoming year.
At any time after a volunteer creates an account they can log in to their volunteer account by entering the username and password created during registration. Users can update their information (this will not initiate the renewal) or check the status of their background check at any time by selecting the drop-down, select Volunteer > Background. The bottom of this screen will display the current volunteer status along with print functionality.
For questions regarding volunteering in LISD, contact the district volunteer coordinator at volunteer@leanderisd.org.
