Student Transfer Requests

Please note: This information pertains to the following Elementary campuses: Mason, Parkside, Plain, Reagan, Reed, Whitestone and Winkley

Due to projected enrollment size for the 2018-2019 school year, this campus has been closed to new transfers, except consideration will be given to siblings of students who currently attend and who will attend next year. Please be aware that if your student is not zoned to this campus or does not already attend this campus on an approved transfer, this campus is closed and will not be accepting any NEW transfer requests for the following school year, 2018-2019.

Children who currently attend the campus as a fourth-grader, either as a zoned student or as a transfer student, will be permitted to attend the current campus as a 5th grade transfer in the next school year, and siblings will be permitted to transfer in on a space- and staff-available basis.

All requests to transfer/remain as a transfer must be submitted by the priority deadline date (March 19, 2018) each year to be considered, INCLUDING this year's fourth-graders.

Transfer applications from existing transfer students who are not in the fourth grade will be considered after the priority transfer deadline date, and after available space and staffing have been determined. Parents/guardians will be notified of approval/denial of the transfer request no later than April 20, 2018. Except for approved current-year fourth-graders, there are NO guarantees that children who transfer in to a campus will be able to continue at that campus.

Please note that a non-refundable $30 processing fee was implemented beginning Sept. 1, 2011, for any student requesting a transfer, and this fee does not guarantee approval to the requested campus. When the student transfer submission window opens on Feb. 19, 2018, please proceed to Leander ISD’s district website should you wish to submit a transfer request for your child. If you do not have access to a computer, please feel free to stop by the campus and use one of the campus computers, or should you need assistance with the transfer application, schedule a meeting with the registrar at the campus you would like your student to attend, so that he or she may assist you in completing this application.

For more information, please contact your student's campus registrar or submit your question here.
